Criteria

  • Recognised Matriculation or Foundation (non-HELP Foundation) : CGPA 3.25 
  • A-Levels : Min. 2 Bs (plus 3 credits in SPM/O-Level, including a credit in Mathematics)

Highlights

  • The student MUST maintain full-time enrolment & complete the programme.

  • The student MUST maintain > 80% attendance in lectures and tutorials for each subject.

  • The student MUST maintain at least CGPA 2.75 each semester.

  • The student MUST maintain minimum of 40 contribution hours (long semesters) & 20 contribution hours (short semesters) of his/her time to assist the faculty.

  • Meeting the minimum criteria does not automatically guarantee the applicant a scholarship.

  • All scholarship applications will be evaluated and short- listed by the IT Scholarship Committee, HELP University. This Committee reserves the right to revise the criteria from time to time without prior notice. Decision of the IT Scholarship Committee is final.

  • This scholarship is ONLY applicable for those entering the programme without being granted any exemption.

     

Awards

Tuition Fee
  • Up to 30% Tuition Fee Waiver for 25 academic subjects and 5 MPU subjects.

  • Continuation of 30% tuition fee waiver for Year 2 if CGPA ≥ 2.75 (for Year 1 subjects); AND

  • Continuation of 30% tuition fee waiver for Year 3 if CGPA ≥ 2.75 (for Year 2 subjects);

Details

To celebrate its success in receiving the Premier Digital Technology (PDTU) status awarded by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and endorsed by the Malaysian Ministry of Education, HELP University is pleased to offer scholarships for all its HELP information technology (IT) undergraduate programmes. These include the Bachelor of IT (Hons); BIT (Hons) Data Analytics.

Application

  • Complete a HELP Scholarship Application Form and attach certified copies of your academic results 
  • International students may apply in their first year on a case-by-case basis
  • New students who have not joined HELP Academy/University are required to pay a minimum of RM300 of the Student Application Fee to be eligible to apply for scholarship
  • Students who have applied to join HELP Academy/University for a chosen programme are expected to register during the intake date and is required to pay all administration fees, course fees and external fees (if any) by the last day of payment pending the decision of the Scholarship Committee
  • New students will submit the respective forms and attachments to the Scholarship Officer in the Registry before the specified deadline. Late applications will not be considered for selection.
  • Application deadline is 2 weeks after commencement of programmes OR 2 weeks after the release of actual results.
